It is a specialized packaging device that uses a cold-forming stamping mechanism—rather than heat thermoforming—to press aluminum cold-form foil into deep cavities, fill them with products like pills or capsules, and heat-seal a top layer of aluminum foil over them.
Unlike plastic thermoforming which uses heat to soften PVC, cold forming uses a punch and die to mechanically press aluminum composite film into shape at room temperature without preheating.
Alu-Alu packaging offers complete opacity and superior barrier protection against water vapor and oxygen, making it ideal for highly moisture-sensitive or hygroscopic drugs that degrade in standard transparent PVC blisters.
