Tailand Project Case

Project Background

A manufacturer from Thailand approached URMACHINE with an inquiry for an automated secondary packaging line capable of packing pouches into inner boxes, followed by outer carton case packing.

The primary engineering challenge of this project lay in its extreme flexibility requirements: the system needed to process 6 distinct inner box sizes and 7 different outer carton dimensions under multiple loading arrangements. The client’s goal was to integrate all these variations into a single, high-efficiency automatic cartoning and case packing machine rather than relying on multiple dedicated lines.

Technical Alignment & Dimension Confirmation: Achieving this level of flexibility required a prolonged and meticulous technical consultation phase. Unlike manual packing—where operators can easily press and close uneven flaps by hand—an automated high-speed mechanical solution demands strict volumetric tolerances. There must be mathematically precise clearance within the carton to allow smooth, automated box loading without product blockage.

To ensure absolute accuracy:

  • Our engineering team requested physical packaging samples from the client to perform precise re-measurements.

  • We developed and shared comprehensive custom carton and box schematic drawings to help the client visually and directly understand the automated mechanical loading process and critical contact points (as illustrated below).

  • Simultaneously, we worked closely with the client to cross-verify the overall 2D/3D equipment layout, ensuring the machine fit perfectly within their existing workshop footprint.

Order Realization & Technical Trust

Due to our highly transparent engineering process, custom 3D layouts, and precise schematic cross-verification, the Thai client gained complete confidence in URMACHINE’s technical capabilities and tailored engineering solutions. This rigorous alignment phase successfully addressed all their concerns regarding multi-size compatibility, leading to the swift finalization of the contract and order placement.

Rigorous Testing & Remote Pre-Shipment Approval

Following the precise manufacturing and integration phase, the complete cartoning and case packing system underwent comprehensive multi-specification testing at our factory. Each of the 6 box sizes and 7 carton arrangements was thoroughly trialed to ensure seamless mechanical changeovers and flawless automated loading.

Before preparing the equipment for international transit, URMACHINE provided the client with complete technical transparency. We compiled and shared detailed high-definition machine operation testing videos alongside comprehensive close-up photography of the mechanical performance. This remote validation allowed the client’s technical directors to verify the line’s stability, smooth carton erecting, and precise sealing parameters under real-world operating speeds, granting full clearance for immediate shipment.
